Nice and gentle
This cleanser is very gentle. The foam is nice, it cleanses well, and rinsed off easily. My skin felt clean, but not at all dried out. It is a little expensive for a small bottle, but it seemed to last fairly well. I only stopped using it because I decided I needed something with salicylic acid. I’m happy with my new one, but kept this one in case I feel like a change or my skin gets irritated for some reason – like a sunburn.

A cleanser that leaves my skin clean, calm, and never tight
I’ve tried so many cleansers — from brightening formulas to enzyme types — but this one has become my daily staple. The EltaMD Skin Recovery Amino Acid Foaming Cleanser gives me that truly clean feeling without the stripped, tight sensation afterward. It’s gentle enough for post-workout or after using active products like retinol, and it never stings my eyes or leaves residue.I train hard (running, lifting, sauna), so my skin sees a lot of sweat and stress. This cleanser just resets everything — soft foam, no fragrance, and my face feels balanced and hydrated every time. I use it daily and rotate a mild enzyme wash twice a week for glow, but this is my ride-or-die. If your skin needs soothing and strength, this is the one.

VERY gentle cleanser
This is a really, really gentle cleanser, which I love… But which also isn’t always the best option for me. I find you have to take care when using it. If you’re using it in the shower or your hands are really wet, it may just disappear before you can fully work it into your skin. I find you need to start with a slightly damp face and hands, pump some cleanser into your hands, and then spend time lathering it into your skin before rinsing. For me, this works well when I have mostly bare skin. But if I’m wearing foundation or sunscreen, one application of the cleanser doesn’t seem to be enough to make me feel like it’s totally removed.I think this cleanser is great for anyone with sensitive skin who wants more moisture- my skin actually does feel more moisturized even after only a week of using- and doesn’t wear a lot of other products. But if you’re a heavy makeup user, you might need something more substantial… Or you may find yourself going through this little bottle very quickly.

After using it, there’s no lingering smell-just a clean, neutral scent that makes the space feel refreshed.The foam is super gentle and soothing, and it doesn’t dry out my skin at all. I’ve noticed a big improvement in my skin’s texture and hydration, and it even helped calm some redness I’ve struggled with. It’s now a staple in my morning and evening routine.If you’re looking for something that’s kind to your skin and leaves your space feeling clean and odor-free, this is it. Highly recommend!

Love all things EltaMD and this is no exception! I trust this brand with my skin as my dermatologist recommends it. This cleans nicely but doesn’t strip. My face feels balanced and soft. Their sunscreens are amazing too! This is an ideal travel size. 😊 LOVE

Not my Fav Face Wash
I haven’t noticed a difference using this face wash for a couple weeks. I heard great things about it, but it doesn’t really foam at all and dissipates fast, so you have to use a lot for one face wash.
