WHAT IT IS: A multitasking leave-in conditioner, styling milk, and heat protectant that strengthens, smooths, and deeply moisturizes hair. Rescues dry hair while shielding it from future damage from heat-styling tools.
WHAT ELSE TO KNOW: Silk amino acids and proteins rebuild weakened hair bonds, strengthening and smoothing damaged, color-processed, and dry strands. Nourishing abyssinian, argan, and marula oils replenish and seal in moisture.
KEY INGREDIENTS: Silk sericin has a temporary bonding effect on damaged hair, smoothing the shaft and improving manageability. Vanilla fruit extract lends antioxidant and scalp-calming benefits and has a naturally sweet scent that dissipates quickly.
HOW TO USE: Apply a small amount to freshly cleansed, towel-dried hair, combing through from roots to ends. Style as usual. Tip: Apply to dry hair as needed throughout the day for a boost of moisture, smoothness, and shine.

THE FIRST TIME I OVERAPPLIED AND IT STILL LEFT MY HAIR SOFT AND BEAUTIFUL NOT STICKY OR CLUMPY OR FLAT LIKE SOME PRODUCTS DO. I STILL NEED ABOUT 1 TBS TO 1 1/2 TBS FOR MY HAIR BECAUSE MY SHOWER CONDITIONER DOESN’T ALWAYS TAKE CARE OF ALL THE WAY. IT’S A BALANCING ACT. WITH THIS PRODUCT, I CAN DECIDE HOW MUCH TO PUT IN AFTER I TOWEL DRY MY HAIR. I WAS TOLD THAT LEAVE IN CONDITIONER DO NOT GENERALLY WORK WELL. THIS ONE DOES. Figure out how this works best for your hair and you’ll love it
I had to take some time to figure out how to make this product work well for my hair. I got this to use after getting the Silkamino conditioning mask which is an actual game-changing conditioner (see my review for that one as well).For best results in my hair, which is long, wavy, frizzy, color treated and dry, I first use the Silkamino conditioning mask in the shower. Then I apply a combing cream (Black Vanilla by Carol’s Daughter), comb through with my fingers, and let it soak in in a microfiber towel. THEN after a few minutes, I take the towel off and apply this Silkamino leave-in milk, scrunching a bit at the ends to retain my waves. I then blow dry the front part of my hair to make sure my bangs don’t dry funny and let the rest air dry as much as I can. This method worked well and the combo of the mask, combing cream, and leave-in milk helped my hair air-dry without too much frizz and nice soft waves.The smell of this milk isn’t as nice as the conditioning hair mask, imo. Right out of the bottle, it sort of smells dull and flat, like cardboard. Luckily, the smell doesn’t linger. Once it’s in your hair, there isn’t much scent at all, which I’m happy for, because fragrances usually do a number on my allergies.Overall, if you’re choosing just one product to amp up your hair game, I’d recommend the Silkamino conditioning mask first. This milk isn’t a must-have in my opinion but so far it’s working all right for me with the method outlined above. I’ll update if it becomes the sort of product I just can’t live without. Good luck to my frizzy-haired brethren out there!!
