Product description

Is it safe to use on sensitive skin?
Yes. Formulated with a ceramide and microbiome-focused barrier care complex, Ceramide Ampoule has been dermatologically tested for low irritation — comfortable even for sensitive skin.
I have oily skin — will this feel heavy or greasy?
Not at all. Unlike heavy creams that coat the surface only, this formula locks moisture inside the skin barrier and absorbs cleanly without any greasy residue — comfortable for oily skin too.
Will it pill or feel slippery under makeup?
No. This ampoule improves skin texture and helps makeup adhere more evenly — think of it as a smoothing base layer. For best results, apply a thin layer and wait 10 seconds before makeup.

great reformulation; improves on texture and stickiness
The first-generation version of this ampoule was an extremely popular product both in Korea and among K-beauty enthusiasts. I never tried it, but I know that those who didn’t like it would complain about the heavy, sticky texture. This second-generation version set out to address those compalints, and im my opinion, it succeeded. Is this version heavy? No. It’s rich and creamy from the ceramides but it’s not heavy on your skin and it spreads really well. It it sticky? I’d say it dries down tacky, as is standard for 99% of ceramide/beta-glucan ampoules (I’ve tried many). If you were wearing this alone without moisturizer and/or sunscreen, you’d notice it if you touched our face. Under my regular moisturizer I don’t notice it at all. It absorbs very quickly and doesn’t sit on top of the skin like the old version did. The new lightweight feel is perfect for summer!I think the only drawback about the newer formulation is they probably reduced the beta-glucan content to address the texture issues (it’s thick and sticky like snail mucin). In exchange, it’s not going to be as moisturizing and hydrating as the prior version, and it won’t be as effective at creating an emollient layer. Therefore it will work best paired with hydrating products like toners and serums for an extra boost if you have dry skin or are looking for deep hydration, as well as a good barrier cream or lotion that locks in that hydration. I paired mine with my normal Hyaluronic acid products and barrier cream it was perfect as a middle layer for my dry, dehydrated aging skin. It didn’t irritate my eczeama or rosacea, and it didn’t pill when layered with other products.3 drops was enough to cover my entire (very wide) face, so I think it’s an excellent value at either size because it will last and the ingredient list is great. Most serums with this type of ingredient list cost the same for a single ounce, the the more you buy here, the better the value. I have other pricier serums that aren’t as well-formulated as this is.I think if you tried the original and it didn’t work for you, you must find yourself much happier with the revised version. Since K-beauty reformulations are almost always for the worst and this isn’t, I gave it the full five-stars.Hope that helps!

The jury is still out
I’m still torn on how I feel about this serum. I like that it is a good amount of product rather than a tiny bottle. The serum is not overly-scented, which I really like. It certainly seems to create a barrier that will hold in moisture, though since it goes under your moisturizer, I feel like this is definitely something you want to use right out of the shower so that your skin is a little hydrated already. I can see how for those in arid or wintery climates, this would be a nice barrier. It is too soon right now to tell how well it works. I don’t have acne-prone skin but niacinamides have been known to break me out. But so far, no sensitivity or pimples. I struggle a bit with how artificial and tacky it feels. It feels like it sits on my skin rather than really absorbing into it. As such, I haven’t used it under makeup yet. It feels like it takes a long time to lose its tackiness and I don’t have time to let that happen in the morning. Sensory wise, I struggle with that feeling. It’s still early days, so I don’t know yet if it’s helping, hurting or neutral. But I haven’t seen anything that is immediately a red flag or a green one.

Great Value
I really like Korean skin care products, so I was happy to give this Ample:n ceramide serum a try. It’s advertised for dry, damaged skin, and that’s relevant to most anyone over 65 or so, but younger people can benefit from it as well. I’ve been using this for a week or so at nighttime after cleansing and before a moisturizing cream. I haven’t had any sensitivity or redness to the serum, and so far it seems to be making my skin look nice and hydrated when I wake up each morning after application. It doesn’t take much serum to cover one’s whole face and neck–a few drops or so does the trick–so this bottle is a good value. The applicator works well, and serum goes on smoothly. It feels good upon application, though it does feel a bit tacky for a few minutes. I don’t mind too much as I immediately follow up with moisturizer. The serum doesn’t really have any smell or fragrance to my nose. The serum’s big selling point is a good amount of ceramides as well as niacinamide and Beta Glucan, all of which make for great skin hydration and for a healthy skin barrier. Products with these ingredients can be very expensive, so this serum is a great deal at $16 (currently) for 1.69 ounces.

Noticeably Softer, More Hydrated Skin
I’m always on the lookout for good hydrating skincare, especially anything with ceramides since my skin tends to get really dry. I was excited to try this ampoule, and honestly, it did not disappoint. The texture is lightweight but still feels really nourishing. It absorbs nicely into my skin without leaving it greasy or sticky, which I really appreciate. I’ve been using it for almost 2 weeks now and have definitely noticed a difference. My skin feels softer, smoother, and much more hydrated, with that healthy, slightly plump look I’m always going for.I also like that it includes ingredients like niacinamide and beta-glucan, so it’s not just hydrating but also helps support the skin barrier. My skin has felt less dry overall, especially in areas where I usually notice flakiness. I’ve had no sensitivity at all while using it, which is a big plus for me, and I really appreciate that there’s no strong scent.A little goes a long way, so I can see this bottle lasting a while. It feels like a higher-end product without being over the top, and it’s been a really nice addition to my routine.Overall, I’ve been really happy with it and would definitely recommend it to anyone dealing with dry or dehydrated skin.
