A genuinely well-made jacket that earns its brand-name premium
You’re paying $109 for the brand name. The jacket is thick and sturdy, it’s comfortable and fits true to size. I received this product for free through Amazon Vine.=================================Beyond those genuinely satisfying first impressions of construction and fit, the Levi’s Women’s Cropped Cotton Surplus Jacket settles comfortably into the everyday wardrobe rotation as one of those quietly versatile transitional pieces that can credibly bridge the gap between casual weekend errands and a slightly more put-together coffee meeting without ever feeling out of place in either context. The substantial weight of the cotton fabric, the precision of the stitching along every visible seam, and the satisfying click-snap of the placket fasteners all signal the kind of build quality that has kept the Levi’s name attached to durable American casualwear for well over a century, and the modern cropped silhouette updates that heritage pedigree into something that reads as contemporary rather than nostalgic. The headline cropped length lands at a flattering point that hits roughly at the natural waist, which is genuinely the right placement for the silhouette to do what it’s designed to do. The cropped cut visually elongates the legs when paired with high-waisted jeans, mid-rise trousers, A-line skirts, or fitted dresses, and the proportional balance feels meaningfully more current than the longer hip-skimming utility jackets that have dominated the category for decades. The slight boxiness of the surplus-inspired cut leaves enough room across the shoulders and torso to layer comfortably over a chunky knit sweater on cooler days while still presenting cleanly over a simple t-shirt during warmer transitional weather. The construction details are the genuine reason this jacket justifies its place in the closet for the long haul. The substantial cotton twill fabric has the kind of structured-but-not-stiff hand that holds its silhouette through years of wear without going floppy, the full zipper closure runs smoothly without snagging, and the snap placket layered over the zipper provides both a clean finished look at the front and a meaningful wind-blocking second line of defense for chilly autumn afternoons. The stand collar adds a subtle bit of architectural interest around the neckline while protecting against gusts that flat-collar alternatives leave exposed. The hidden snap pockets keep the front silhouette streamlined while still providing the practical handwarming and small-item-stashing utility that makes a jacket actually wearable in real life rather than purely decorative. The camel and other neutral colorways available across the size run pair effortlessly with essentially every other piece in a typical wardrobe, settling in as a workhorse outer layer that never demands a coordinated outfit around it. Pulled on over a fitted black turtleneck and dark jeans for a Saturday morning brunch, layered over a flowy white blouse and slim pants for a casual Friday at the office, thrown on with a printed midi dress and ankle boots for a fall afternoon walking through a farmers market, or simply pressed into service over a soft sweatshirt and leggings for a school pickup run, the jacket handles each context without needing any wardrobe gymnastics to make it work. The brand-name premium honestly does buy something real here. Levi’s has spent the better part of two centuries refining the cotton-twill construction techniques that distinguish their outerwear from the cheaper cut-and-sew alternatives that flood the lower price tiers, and the consistency of fit across their women’s sizing chart is genuinely better calibrated than the unpredictable sizing roulette that plagues no-name fast-fashion brands. The hundred-dollar-plus asking price lands fairly in line with comparable mid-tier outerwear from other heritage American clothing labels, and the expected lifespan of well over a decade with reasonable care brings the cost-per-wear math down to a perfectly sensible number for any wearer who actually integrates this into a regular rotation.

Awesome jacket!
I absolutely love this Levi’s jacket! The quality is top-notch, as expected. The fabric is thick and high quality, it’s well-made, fully lined, and the fit is very roomy and comfortable without feeling like I’m swimming in it. I’m 5’4″, 165lb, with a 42″ bust and 33″ waist, and I ordered a large. The fit is loose enough that I can very comfortably layer it over a sweatshirt with room to spare. I like that it’s cropped enough to be flattering, but still long enough that it’ll keep you covered. Overall, I think it’s a great, functional jacket! It’s early spring, and I’ve been wearing it non-stop. Even on chillier days, it’s kept me plenty warm when layered over a sweater!Another thing I really love are the gigantic pockets. I can fit anything and everything in them. I like to put my hands in my pockets, and originally, I thought the height of the pockets felt too high to do this comfortably, but I’ve discovered that I actually really like it! It kind of gives T-Rex arms, but the ADHD in me finds that incredibly satisfying (if you know, you know).

Better in person than pictured in description!
I don’t think the description pictures does this jacket justice…This is a really nice jacket, I was pleasantly surprised! It’s made of strong, durable, and good quality material. It has the 2 giant pockets on the front that I thought I wouldn’t like but they actually look decent when the jacket is on! The cuffs have 2 snaps if you need it a little tighter or to loosen them a little. The jacket has both snaps and a zipper. All zippers and snaps work fine. I like that it’s a cropped jacket and the best part is that the bottom of the jacket can be pulled tighter by the pulls on the inside of the jacket (see video). These pulls are made in a way that you can tighten it as much as you’d like. You can also just tighten the back (on the bottom of jacket), or just tighten the front (on the bottom). I’m very thin and a lot of jackets are very wide on me and hang off too far. These pulls are great for someone like me who likes a more fitted look. The jacket is nice and warm, has a nice liner that’s comfortable to the touch. It’s true to size, I typically wear a small and ordered a small in this. I’m 5.6ft tall, 104lbs, and a 32DD to DDD chest for reference. This jacket fits great especially with the bottom being adjustable. I like that it’s a collared jacket too, it’s very casual and stylish! I did have to remove a star cus even tho it’s a really nice jacket, I think it’s valued a bit too high. I’m a huge Levi’s fan, always have been…but I wouldn’t normally order a jacket valued this high unless it was a heavy duty winter coat. Al thought it keeps me warm, this is not a good heavy duty coat for those in extremely cold weather. I do still recommend it tho, it’s cute and I’ve already worn it out and about!

A Classic, But Modern Style
I love this jacket and wish I could give it 6 stars. It’s a blend of classic utility design made modern by its cropped length. The thing that caught my eye was its structured look – the type of workwear design that is prototypical Levis. When I put it on, I found one great feature after another. The zip front is protected by a snap placket both of which go all the way to the stand up collar. The jacket has multiple deep pockets that give it a bit of a surplus sensibility.Add in the 100% cotton fabric, and this jacket exudes durability, comfort and rugged wearability. It’s not heavy – perfect for transitional weather. This is a modern-day classic – one of those pieces that feels effortlessly cool without trying too hard.
