Works best with other k k secret products
I bought their oil cleanser, face wash, snail mucin, collagen serum, niacinamide glow serum, retinal serum, retinal cream, niacinamide cream, eye cream, and their sun cream. I use them based on the recommended pairings that they suggested and the result is an amazing transformation of my skin from acne prone to clear, glowy skin. The only one that didn’t work for me is the oil cleanser. I have tried numerous korean oil cleansers and none really agreed to my skin, even the k secret oil cleanser. Thus, I have given up oil cleansing and my skin thanked me. So, I substituted the oil cleanser with a homemade peppermint tea toner to remove my sunscreen then wash with their face wash. Love their products!

Lightweight & gives a subtle glow
I’ve been using this serum for a bit now and it absorbs really fast without feeling sticky. It layers well under moisturizer and makeup, and I noticed a slight brightening effect especially around my cheeks. It’s gentle and didn’t irritate my skin, which I love. The glow isn’t dramatic right away, but it feels like a solid everyday serum for smoother, healthier-looking skin.

I’ve been using this niacinamide serum consistently and really like how hydrating it feels without being heavy on my skin. The little capsules melt in nicely and give a soft, moisturized finish that lasts throughout the day. Over time, my skin has looked more even and brighter, especially around areas where I usually notice dark spots. It also feels soothing and balanced, and I did not experience irritation even with the higher niacinamide percentage. One thing I would improve is that it can feel a bit rich for very oily skin during the daytime, so I prefer using it at night. Overall, this has been a great serum for hydration, glow, and overall skin tone improvement.

I didn’t know anything about this brand when I ordered this serum and I gotta say, so far I’m impressed. When it arrived I immediately noticed how nicely packaged and bottled it is. I LOVE that it’s an opaque pump bottle instead of a dropper! I feel like this will help keep the serum as fresh and clean which is extra important since this contains a form of Vit C.The most important thing to mention though is the concentration of niacinamide in this! It’s a whopping 15% which far more than most other serums. I would go ease into this if you aren’t accustomed to using niacinamide since concentrations this big might be irritating and a bit much for some skin. Although the other ingredients in this might help balance out any side effects. It has squalane which is always nice to see and panthenol, plus other hydrating and soothing agents. I added a picture so you can check out the ingredients for yourself.The serum is also fun. It’s like a yellow colored gel but “creamier” or “softer” feeling and has little orange bubbly bits in it. When first applied it feels slick and looks shiny but it totally absorbs in a minute and just leaves soft, moistened skin behind. And maybe a slight “shimmer” to the skin because it’s hydrating but certainly not a sticky or gooey coat of anything. The dose of niacinamide it gives is massive and should be a potent way to treat spots and skin texture issues.I’m taking to slow so far to gauge how much my skin can handle. I’ve not seen any irritation or seen it cause dryness. So far so good! I’m started by giving 3 days in between uses. I rotate my skincare because I have a few issues I’m trying to tackle and will likely be using this 3x a week if all continues to go well. I’m really hoping it helps with my uneven skin tone and will report back if I have any significant news to share. It strikes me as a quality Korean made product and I wouldn’t hesitate to order it if you’re interested in it.BTW…..this is a fragrance free product!

Powerful 15% Niacinamide Serum with a Glowy Finish
Did I really need another Niacinamide serum? No. Is this still a great addition to my skincare routine? Yes!This KSECRET SEOUL 1988 Glow Serum is a powerful brightening serum with really fantastic ingredients and a skin friendly pH of 5 according to my pH test strips. The star ingredient here is the Niacinamide at 15% – but it also has anti-oxidants like Vitamin E and Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Soothing ingredients like Panthenol and Beta-Glucan and even more brightening ingredients like Tumeric and Tranexamic Acid. This serum is lightweight and a little tacky on application, but it absorbs quickly and leaves your skin instantly glowy – almost dewy. This doesn’t feel greasy at all, but my skin did look pretty shiny. I have combo dehydrated skin with mild rosacea and use this serum as part of my morning skincare routine, and it felt very hydrating. I apply sunscreen right after this, and then makeup. I have not experienced any pilling with this.15% is a lot of niacinamide, and if you have other steps in your skincare routine, you may want to check to see if you have niacinamide in any of those steps. If it’s in the 5th place or higher on the ingredients list, you might want to remove it from your routine or skip this serum. Niacinamide at this percentage does run the risk of being irritating just with this amount, but if you combine it with other products that contain niacinamide you could experience stinging or redness.This comes in a heavy plastic pump bottle with a cap which makes it great for travel – it arrived with the safety seal intact.
