As Effective as Sunscreen Can Be, But Wears Like High-End Hydrating Skin Cream!
This Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics Korean Sunscreen is well known and appreciated for the innovative filters that provide its very high SPF50+ rating and its light texture. Apparently, the SPF rating has been tested by labs in both Korea and Spain, so you can be sure it’s accurate. In Korea, this stuff is marketed as hydrating skin cream that happens to provide highly effective UV protection. In the US, it’s marketed as highly effective sunscreen that happens to have many qualities of a good hydrating skin lotion. Take your pick.This stuff has very little fragrance. The website I saw said it has no fragrance, but my nose senses a very faint floral fragrance. Straight out of the tube, that is—once you smear it on, it certainly has no fragrance.This lotion is light and non-greasy—one of its claims to fame. It initially goes on white (see photos), but the whiteness will quickly disappear as you rub it into your skin. It is gentle enough to use on your face, but can also be used elsewhere on your body. It disappears most readily on lighter skin, but can leave a bit of a white cast on darker skin.Apparently, water or sweat will wash it off. So be aware that if you are working and sweating hard, or you go in for a dip, you will need to reapply the sunscreen afterwards. Even if it is not washed off, it will only last 2-3 hours. So if you use a lot of sunscreen, this stuff will become quite expensive. It only seems to be available in these 1.6 ounce tubes, not in large bottles like traditional sunscreen.Organic Korean sunscreen can be had for $5 to $15.91 per ounce. Most costs around $9 to $13 per ounce. At the list price of $15.99 ($9.46 per ounce), this brand is priced at the bottom end of the normal range. Given how high quality, light and effective this formula is known to be, this sunscreen is a great deal!If you want a light textured, non-greasy sunscreen that goes on like a high-end hydrating skin lotion but protects from UV rays as effectively as sunscreen realistically can, you’ve found the right stuff! No sunscreen can protect from UV rays as well as an SPF50+ body suit, but this is the next best thing. You won’t even be aware that you’re wearing it, and your beautifully softened, hydrated skin will thank you as well!

Nice Quality, A Little Expensive for the Quantity
I live in an area where this time of year, there isn’t much sun. So I can’t review the effectiveness of the SPF50+ since I haven’t been out in the sun and won’t have that type of weather for another couple of months. But I can review my experience with it so far.When I first applied it, it was very white and took a while to absorb into my skin, long enough that I was starting to wonder if it would. It eventually did and once it absorbed, my skin felt silky. Not sticky or greasy like with some other sunscreens. I have sensitive skin and have negative reactions and irritation to new skin products fairly often. I applied this to my arm and had zero reactions to it. I also applied of my face and it did not cause any breakouts or irritation.The price seems a little on the expensive side considering the size of the bottle. You can get comparable brands with a larger quantity for the same price. If you’re a fan of Korean skin care products then you may be willing to pay $15.99 (at the time of this review) for 1.69 Fluid Ounces.It has a very slight clean scent but the scent does not linger once absorbed.Overall, it seems like a high quality skin care/sunscreen product. Good for sensitive skin. Unfortunately I can’t review the effectiveness for another couple months. It is on the expensive side for the amount of product you get.

Korean Sunscreen SPF50 Lightweight No White Cast Hydrating Finish
I have combination skin, so I’m always picky about sunscreen feeling too greasy or sitting heavy on my face. I’ve been using this as my daily sunscreen for about a week now, mostly in the mornings under makeup and also on no-makeup days.The texture is very lightweight and spreads easily without dragging. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a white cast, which is a big deal for everyday use. It has more of a hydrating finish rather than matte, but it doesn’t feel oily or heavy on my skin. I’ve used about a nickel-sized amount for full face and neck, and it layers well under makeup without pilling or separating.It also feels comfortable throughout the day and doesn’t get that greasy buildup feeling by midday. My skin stays balanced, not overly shiny but not dry either. The formula feels more like skincare than a typical sunscreen, which makes it easier to use consistently.The main tradeoff is that if you prefer a fully matte or oil-controlling sunscreen, this leans more on the dewy side. It works really well for normal to combination skin, but very oily skin types might want something more mattifying.

Can’t say how well it works when I’ve only used it once BUT i will say it is not for darker skin . It leaves a white cast and gave me a textured look when i used a skin tint after which the skin tint doesn’t usually leave a textured look afterwards.

Lightweight face sunscreen for on the go!
This sunscreen is very lightweight and feels great on the skin. I have fair and combination skin and it didn’t make my skin greasy nor dry. Also didn’t leave any white cast. I use this as my last cream in my morning skin care. Additionally, I love that the SPF is high since I live in Florida. The sunscreen seems powerful as I did not notice any burnt/red areas on my face while being out in the sun.The packaging is really cute. The tube size is great to take anywhere when you are on the go and need to reapply. I definitely would recommend this sunscreen!
