Really nice set of brushes that won’t break the bank
I still start of saying that I already own tons of other makeup brushes, but what drew me to this set were the oval shape of the bristles. So, why not add more to my collection!Not only does this set include a variety of face and eye brushes, also includes a makeup remover towel, brush cleaning mat, and a concealer sponge. Comes nicely packaged, and can even use the box as a holder/display. The bristles are also synthetic and are on the firmer side.The first brush I used from this set was the big powder brush. The oval head is unique, but I found that I could more precisely sweep on setting powder as compared to my giant domed shaped powder brush. Next, and I think my favorite from this whole set, was the setting powder brush, used to apply blush. I found to be the right firmness to pick up enough blush without being overly dense to be able to beautifully diffuse the blush onto the skin. For the eyes I frequently grab the large shadow and smoky liner brushes the most.My least favorite of the set, were the foundation, face shape, brow, and small blending brushes. The foundation brush just felt rough on the skin, and didn’t work that well with my current liquid foundation as it just “ate” the foundation up. However, it is brush that would work well with stick or balm type of foundations that need a firm brush to blend onto the skin. The angled brow brush was too stiff for my liking. And the rest I mentioned I just didn’t care for. Now, this is purely my preference and opinion, so you may very well like these ones or work better for you.My only real complaint regarding this set were the shape of the handles. They are rather small/narrow, and I found when using the eye brushes for a while I was starting to get hand fatigue. I have small hands, so that was rather surprising.Washing these using a brush cleaning mat, I did not experience any shedding of hairs.Overall this is a nice beginner set for the price, and even better of a deal when they’re on sale. It would make a great gift for someone getting into makeup or wanting to expand their current brush set.

I bought these brushes for my partner, so here’s her review.These brushes are great, ive had these for about a week now and ive used them every day they are soft, dense ive had no fall out. the foundation brush is the best ive used since my royal and langnickel brush came apart, it blends my foundation to a smooth finish usung using both stippling motions and blending motions there is no roughness to the bristles so they won’t scratch your face while doing your makeup. Ive tried sigma and zoeva brushes, these are by far better and easy to blend my makeup, eyeshadow goes on with ease, picks up and blends evenly. Unfortunately there is one brush I do not use, which is the concealer brush I’m not a fan of this type of brush so ive not used it. The design and colour of these brushes are lovely they look so expensive, I have mine on on my dressing table in the box they come in. There is only one down side to these brushes… because of the tapered design of these brushes if you suffer with pain in your hands as I do these are not easy to hold, but if you hold them at the top of the brush handle then they will be easier to hold. hopefully jessup will design these brushes with a thicker handle so those that suffer at times with holding thinner handles can take advantage of the quality of the bristle that this set has.I would definitely recommend these brushes.
