Love the black shade!
Clarins makes my favorite lip oils – I try every new one that comes out but always come back to these. They are hydrating, non-greasy and wear evenly. The black shade is my favorite as it wears like a MLBB berry tone, but it’s very sheer with minimal sparkle. Highly recommended.

I’m 52, post-menopausal, and very particular about lip products — especially glosses and oils. I’ve used quite a few over the years, including the Givenchy black gloss, so I was very curious to try this version from Clarins.First — don’t let the color in the tube intimidate you. This is a black gloss, but it does not go on black. It’s a pH-reactive oil that adjusts to your natural lip tone, creating a customized shade that looks slightly different on everyone. On me, it enhances my natural color and gives a deeper, more polished version of my lips rather than adding obvious pigment.The texture is where this really stands out. Unlike traditional glosses, this is a true lip oil — smooth, lightweight, and completely non-sticky. It feels very comfortable on the lips and has that cushiony, nourishing quality that you don’t always get with gloss formulas.In terms of quality, this feels exactly like what you’d expect from Clarins. The formula is well-balanced and refined, delivering both shine and real hydration without feeling heavy or messy.Coverage is sheer and enhancing rather than opaque. I love this lip oil! it keeps your lips hydrated all day long and the color is gorgeous! It is not sticky which I know a lot of people don’t like myself included! My mom stole mine so I have to buy another but definitely worth the money!

Soft, glossy, and smells amazing
This Clarins lip oil is smooth, hydrating, and leaves a pretty gloss that feels more like skincare than makeup. I picked the Pitaya shade, which is bold in the bottle, but on the lips, it’s a sheer, flattering tint that’s just enough to brighten my face.The scent is sweet and subtle (I actually love it), and the applicator is plush and easy to use. With consistent use, my lips feel noticeably softer, so I’d say it is effective as a nourishing treatment, not just for shine.That said, the longevity is moderate. The gloss does wear off with regular use (and definitely after eating), so I do reapply a few times a day. But because it feels good going on and makes my lips look and feel healthy, I really don’t mind.It’s not ultra-long-lasting, but it’s beautiful, comfortable, and makes my lips feel cared for.

Not bad, but leaky and pricey
It smells like actually cherries and feel great on the lips. A nice color that isn’t too sheer or too pigmented. However, the packaging is very leaky which is a good look for a $30 lip oil! Otherwise not too bad but needs improvement.
